Bespoke Glass Banister & Wardrobe
Simon was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and booked a site visit to discuss my storage ideas for my new home: wardrobes, storage cupboard, a glass stairway and new internal doors. Some of the work needed would be bespoke, Simon stepped up to the challenge. He gave good sound advice on how to go about some of the builds and was happy to adapt to accommodate any of my changes. Simon is excellent at his craft, his work is neat and tidy and carried out to a very high standard. Simon himself was respectful to me, my home and my property, I found him to be honest and polite at all times. It was a real pleasure to have him working in my home.

Kitchen Worktop
Simon fitted new Minerva worktops up-stands and new sink, he squared off our cupboards and brought our kitchen back to life, it looks fantastic. Simon is a perfectionist and it shows in his craftsmanship. Not much mess from start to finish. The young Liam assisting him was polite, tidy (under Simon’s guidance) and thoughtful, talking of guidance Simon’s advice and design is a must, you have your ideas and what you want and that’s what you get but with a bit of magic and the Ferguson eye, you get your idea rounded to a gem.
You pay for quality and that’s what you get. Quality. Our kitchen is a joy to look at and a joy to be in. Thanks Simon.

We are absolutely thrilled with the wardrobes Simon designed and fitted for us. They are exactly what I had hoped for and he went to great efforts to ensure we got precisely what we wanted even mocking up the panel sizes on the doors so I could chose which option I preferred. His attention to detail his superb – he is a real craftsman and a pleasure to work with. Shop Refit
Simon from SJF Designs helped us with a major refit of our farm shop in January 2018. From first contact, Simon was approachable, clear and professional. He was excellent at helping us with the practicalities of the build from conception stage, and at being flexible as the build was being completed. His outstanding communication skills were a great asset. While completing the build, Simon was professional in all aspects of his work, and was sensitive to our busy retail space as we remained open throughout. This meant that we suffered no loss of income as a result of the rebuild. The quality of the work was absolutely brilliant and Simon’s attention to detail is second to none. 3 Fitted Wardrobes
Simons work is exceptional, a true craftsman. We had 3 fitted wardrobes built, two in alcoves and one L-shaped. All designed in keeping with our Victorian house, half of one concealing the water cylinder, the others for clothes, both hanging and shelving. They are beautiful! They perfectly match the other original features in the rooms, with the top coving and skirting boards. The glass panels in the staircase allow lots of light into an otherwise dark area and look lovely. The cupboard space underneath the stairs is huge! We have recently installed a fitted bookcase and a desk in our study and are absolutely thrilled with the work from SJF designs. Simon Ferguson provided an excellent service from helping with design and signposting to fixtures and fittings and arranging the painter. The house was kept very clean throughout the process. Radiator Covers & Shelves
Simon made some bespoke radiator covers and shelves in the alcoves beside my fireplace. He was fantastic throughout the whole experience and offered invaluable advice including how to hide the unsightly wires from the tv in the aforementioned unit. Sliding Doors
Simon did an excellent job on substituting our double hinged doors with double sliding doors from the lounge into the dining room. He was most helpful in the suggestions he made prior to him starting the work. He completed the job to our great satisfaction, very quickly, efficiently and tidy.
Bookcase
After meeting with many joiners and carpenters to build our bookcase we instantly got a feeling from Simon that he was the man for the job. I had a vision of what I wanted and he executed it perfectly. He was a very easy person to work with and he always made himself available to contact if we had any questions. He worked efficiently and always cleaned up at the end of day. We are so happy with our bookcase and will definitely ask Simon back in the future for any joinery work we need doing. Best regards
Under-Stairs Storage
We engaged Simon from SJF Designs to put in an under-staircase bookshelf and storage unit. He was completely professional from start to finish. He helped us come up with an appropriate design, and was excellent at taking our (rather vague) idea of what we wanted and transforming it into something better! He thought about the practicalities of the unit at all times, maximising the storage and completing the job to a very high standard. We would not hesitate to recommend him.
